The Rewind
A survey done by the Rewind shows how the STAAR Test effects student's Mental health and overall self-esteem. The majority of students reported that STAAR Testing makes their mental health worse.
How do Students Feel About STAAR Testing
5,6,7,8! 1st period dance class practices their spring show dance they have been practicing for several weeks to make their dance perfect. "My favorite part of spring show is just going on stage and dancing." Cameron Beville said.

Run Like The Wind! Maddox Murry (8th) runs at a cross country meet on September 25. He ran his hardest, and just locked in, just like at every meet. “My brain just stops and my body just operates itself and somehow navigates [itself] like autopilot,” Murry said.

Let's go Bearcats! In a earlier game this season, B team beat Brewer 36-0. The second game against Brewer for B team was also successful, as B team won 30-0

Spooky Season. Tuesday night Millie Coppinger cheers for the boys last football game. To make this night special the cheer girls did scary make-up looks to go with their cheer dance. "It was fun, but it took away my time to trick or treat," Coppinger said.

James Boltwood loves singing in choir with his friends. Boltwood is preparing for his upcoming Christmas show by singing "The Grinch". "I enjoy singing The Grinch since it means a lot to many people." Boltwood said.

Praise! Brylan Olea, 8, and Edward White, 8, start off the Student Body of Christ meeting with a Bible verse. Olea and White started the prayer group in September of this year. "Edwards brother, Bill, started something last year so we figured we should keep that going so we could have a prayer group in 8th grade," Olea said.

On your marks. Placing her foot behind the starting line, 8th grader XC runner, Avery Jeter takes a deep breath. Her first ever XC meet of the season, a 2 mile-long run held at Azle.  "When I put my foot on the starting line that's when it hit me that this was my first meet of the season and I wanted to do great." Said 8th grader, Avery Jeter. "I needed to be confident in myself in order to do good."
