My name is Averie Long, and I am in 8th grade. I joined journalism because I wanted to take photos and write in the newspaper. Journalism is important to me because it can teach you so much life skills. Outside of school I enjoy competitive cheer. A fun fact about me is I do school cheer and competitive cheer. My favorite TV show is the summer I turned pretty. I am excited to be part of journalism staff because it seems like such a fun experience. This year I hope to learn more about journalism.
