My name is June Gibbins, and I am in Eighth grade!

I joined journalism because of two reasons. First reason is that it has been my dream for years to help out with taking pictures, interviewing people, and being on the broadcast committee. And the second reason is that it would look really good on my college application, knowing that this is one of my interests that I want to do this in my future. I wanted to be part of the staff so that I could inspire the sixth and seventh graders to join journalism, and so I could help my peers with the yearbook, newspaper, broadcasting, and much more! Journalism in important to me because like I said earlier it has always been a huge dream of mine, and now that I’m older I have this opportunity and I’m not going to let it slide away.

Here is a little about myself:

Outside of school I really enjoy dancing. A fun fact about me is that at my dance studio, I am  the youngest on the Senior team(I’m supposed to be on the junior team)! My favorite book/movie/TV show is The summer I Turned Pretty, or Wednesday!

I am excited to be apart of the journalism staff because I love interviewing people, and giving out important information for students and staff to hear. This year, I hope to become a part of the road casting crew, and be on McCat TV. That has always been a dream of mine since sixth grade.
