Cold weather, fire places, sweaters, clouds… this can only mean one thing: snow! And for students, that means hopefully no school. Aledo gets snow around once or twice a year, almost always in January or February, it’s what people look forward to the most.
Seventh grader, Sutton Lynch, and eighth grader, Kanon Weaver both said that they had lots of fun during their days off. “I got to go sledding which doesn’t happen often, so it was really exciting,” Lynch said. “Yeah, we went sledding over the break,” Weaver said.
Sixth grader, Sheppard Busselman had other ideas for the break. “So, we took my dirt bike and a rope and we connected a sled to it; that’s how we went sledding,” Busselman said. “It was awesome.”
Everyone had lots of fun on their days off with the snow and can’t wait until next year’s.

![Run Like The Wind! Maddox Murry (8th) runs at a cross country meet on September 25. He ran his hardest, and just locked in, just like at every meet. “My brain just stops and my body just operates itself and somehow navigates [itself] like autopilot,” Murry said.](https://mmsrewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-26-11.35.51-AM.png)
