Dear John,
Thank you for you question about being a student-athlete here’s my perspective. Being a student-athlete is hard, having practice right after school till late at night, and home work on top of that, life gets chaotic. But I promise you it’s not that complicated to figure the system out. As a student-athlete one way I stay on top of my work is communicating; if I know I am going to miss school to go out of town for my sports I’ll ask all my teachers what I will miss and what I need to get down. Another way is if I am overwhelmed with work, I really like to take advantage of our flex period to get my work done or if I have time to just get ahead. Sometimes it takes some late nights and early mornings, but I promise it’s worth it.
Sincerely, Hayden
