As the last game making sure to win she spikes the ball. As a result of them winning I'd say that that was a great hit.
Ending The Season Off Great!
Let's go Bearcats! In a earlier game this season, B team beat Brewer 36-0. The second game against Brewer for B team was also successful, as B team won 30-0

On your marks. Placing her foot behind the starting line, 8th grader XC runner, Avery Jeter takes a deep breath. Her first ever XC meet of the season, a 2 mile-long run held at Azle.  "When I put my foot on the starting line that's when it hit me that this was my first meet of the season and I wanted to do great." Said 8th grader, Avery Jeter. "I needed to be confident in myself in order to do good."

Watching Out. Leighton Estrada and Kaylie Shaffer are watching the Football Game for any injuries. The game was the 2023 Aledo vs McAnally 8th grade Football game.

ExtravaBANDza. Band students just finished playing their 3 tunes and started to watch the marching band play "Havanna Nights" The band students spent about a week practicing their songs for this performance "Stick with it," 8th grader Kip Cotten said "it (band) gets way more fun."

Teach! In her classroom, 8th grade math teacher, Kathy Newell, helps students. She has wanted to be a teacher since kindergarten. "Seeing students succeed, when kids tell me that they could go with me to high school, it tells me I'm doing something right.”

New Creations. Angelica Arreguin was creating a toy for a kid with disabilities in design and modeling. She had been recently designing a toy that would be shapes that you can put through and match. "I believe there should be toys made for kids with disabilities".

Catch! 8th Grader Rayne Wiley passes the ball to his teammate for a open layup. Rayne is a 5'2 Point Guard for the Mcanally Bearcats 8th Grade B team Basketball. "Basketball is one of my favorite sports because of the atmosphere it gives."
Look Out!
Spooky Season. Tuesday night Millie Coppinger cheers for the boys last football game. To make this night special the cheer girls did scary make-up looks to go with their cheer dance. "It was fun, but it took away my time to trick or treat," Coppinger said.

James Boltwood loves singing in choir with his friends. Boltwood is preparing for his upcoming Christmas show by singing "The Grinch". "I enjoy singing The Grinch since it means a lot to many people." Boltwood said.

Cheer away. 7 and 8 grade students doing a cheer routine at a weekly middle school home game. That night Aledo took the win with the support of our cheerleaders. " That night was a successful game, we had so much fun cheering!" says Holland Fay.
