I think that the dress code at McAnally is very biased and targeted more toward girls. Girls are not allowed to wear tank tops that show their shoulders and can’t show their undergarment straps. Recently, since the end of the year, they have started enforcing the dress code more. They rarely dress-coded us at the beginning, but now they have decided to enforce it more strictly. Boys show their colorful underwear under their shorts, and personally, I think that girls’ shoulders are less distracting than boys’ underwear. If girls’ undergarment straps straps make others “uncomfortable,” then I think that boys’ underwear makes others “uncomfortable” as well. In conclusion, I think that our school dress code should focus on both boys and girls, not just girls.

About the Contributor
Hi! I am Hayley Case, and I am in 8th grade. I joined journalism because, I thought it would be a really fun class to do, I wanted to be part of the staff so that I could have a fun activity to do. Outside of school I enjoy playing, soccer. A fun fact about me is I love the bake in my free time. My favorite TV show is We Were Liars. I am excited to be part of the journalism staff because, I love photography. This year, I hope to be a better photographer.

He ran his hardest, and just locked in, just like at every meet. “My brain just stops and my body just operates itself and somehow navigates [itself] like autopilot,” Murry said.](https://mmsrewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-26-11.35.51-AM.png)
