Buses are overcrowded and sit three to a seat.

This year the buses at Mcanally Middle School are overcrowded and don’t have enough space for all the kids.

Buses usually get crazy and loud, but this year it’s worse. There are three kids to a seat for every seat on the bus, that is a lot of kids for one bus. Not to mention that means more bus stops, so it takes even longer to get home.

“I don’t like sitting 3 to a seat because it gets crowded on the bus, with people being in band, their instruments can take up space, and I have to sit with people I don’t know, instead of my friends.” 8th grader, Dalys Maya said. There is no AC, so it’s really hot on the bus. “My least favorite part about the bus is that I’m tired after school and then I go on the bus and it’s loud and hot.” 8th grader, Dalys Maya said. There is not enough room on the bus and it could be from multiple things, “I think the bus is full because there aren’t enough buses, or enough bus drivers, so we have to combine different routes. Also since it’s a new year there’s more kids coming from elementary school.”

Although there isn’t much we can do about the overcrowding on the buses you can try to help make the bus more enjoyable. “My advice is to sit in your assigned seat and try to create as much room in your seat as possible, and drink water to help stay cool.” 8th grader, Dalys Maya said.
