¨Oh shoot¨ Marley Hampton said. The sound wasn’t a crunch or a bang, but a sickening crash. Marley stared, wide-eyed, as everyone else in the room turned to look. Many people have damaged their computers in various ways, some more interesting than others.
8th grader Kylen Emerson has shared the story of how he broke his computer. During 7th period Coach Williams CCR class, Kylen was making a little vlog under his desk. He was getting up to sit back in his chair when he accidentally pushed the desk too hard, causing it to flip over and land on his computer screen. Kylen said his first thought was ¨I was scared Aiden was going to whoop me.¨ Kylen was scared that Coach Williams was going to get mad, so, at first, he tried to hide the evidence. Kylen explained, “I tried to hide the evidence for a couple of minutes, then I came clean and confessed my sin.¨
7th grader Asha broke her computer in a quite interesting way. Asha was at home sick for a week with the flu. She was logging into her computer to catch up on some work she had missed. She set her computer down on her mom’s bed and left to get a snack. She came back to continue working. Suddenly, her dog got on her bed and stepped on her computer. She looked at her computer and saw that her screen had shattered. Asha said the first thought that went through her mind was, ¨How am I supposed to do my work.¨
Even though breaking your computer is not always ideal, some stories can be quite funny depending on the way you broke it. This year, many people have broken their computers already, and there’s still way more to come.

![Run Like The Wind! Maddox Murry (8th) runs at a cross country meet on September 25. He ran his hardest, and just locked in, just like at every meet. “My brain just stops and my body just operates itself and somehow navigates [itself] like autopilot,” Murry said.](https://mmsrewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-26-11.35.51-AM.png)
