Shoes squeak and players yell as all the teams dribble down the courts. Bryn Snyder, Avery DeBoer, and Charlee Southard, all on different teams, work hard to help their teammates and bring home a win for McAnally. Once they make their first points of the game, they know it will be a good season.
Our Ladycats fiercely faced off against Howard on November 13. Eighth grade A-Team won 44-8, B-Team won 28-8, and C-Team won 28-0 while seventh grade A-Team won 41-30, B-Team won 24-8, and C-Team won 20-16.
“We did really good today. We’ll probably lose some and win some, but more on the winning side.” Bryn Snyder, a C-Team player, said after the game. When asked how her team could improve, she laughed and said, “Um… Maybe shooting the ball into the basket?”
Avery DeBoer was interviewed after the eighth grade B-Team game. “We played good, we could’ve played defense better,” DeBoer said. “Once we know our plays better we’ll do better.”
Eighth grade A-Team player, Charlee Southard, thinks the team will have a better season than last season.
“We could do better by making more shots and taking our time on offense,” Southard said.

![Run Like The Wind! Maddox Murry (8th) runs at a cross country meet on September 25. He ran his hardest, and just locked in, just like at every meet. “My brain just stops and my body just operates itself and somehow navigates [itself] like autopilot,” Murry said.](https://mmsrewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-26-11.35.51-AM.png)
